Nurturing the Whole Child
A Montessori Education

Universal Values
Service. Meditation. Finding Inner Contentment. Caring for Mother Earth. Praying for peace.
Children have innate spirituality. At Srim Academy, we nurture this spirituality through practices like daily yoga, organic gardening and meditation, encouraging young ones to offer compassion to all living beings.
Explore & Create
We’ll race paper boats and learn about why things float. We’ll play real-life, age-appropriate games to teach scientific concepts--even complex ones like algorithms. We’ll follow children’s natural curiosity to teach them about the world. Our curriculum and teaching style incorporates values from Montessori, Waldorf and Eastern philosophies of education.
Play
We’ll celebrate all the world's holidays, from Christmas and Hanukkah to Navaratri, acting out stories and learning the meaning behind them. During daily guided play, children will engage in games that will encourage creative problem-solving, compassion, self-discipline and leadership.
Curriculum and Language Immersion
The curriculum at Srim Academy is rooted in Montessori philosophy, emphasizing hands-on, self-directed learning tailored to each child’s developmental stage. We offer multi-age classrooms, including a Toddler Community for children ages 18 months to 3 years and a Primary Classroom for ages 3 to 6. This structure encourages peer learning, leadership development, and a strong sense of community.
Core academic areas such as language, mathematics, cultural studies, and science are introduced through concrete materials that foster deep understanding and joyful discovery. Practical life skills, sensorial exploration, and grace and courtesy lessons support the development of independence, focus, and social-emotional growth. Our program is enriched with Waldorf-inspired storytelling, music, art, and nature-based experiences that nurture imagination, creativity, and a reverence for the natural world. Children engage in yoga, meditation, gardening, and community service, helping them develop empathy, inner peace, and a strong connection to their environment. Through this integrated approach, Srim Academy cultivates well-rounded, compassionate learners prepared for the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
As a bonus: Immerse your child in a daily second language elective at Srim Academy. Parents can select from a number of options, including Spanish, Hindi and other languages. Reach out to learn more about our immersion options. Second languages will be taught with a Waldorf-inspired approach.

Nurturing Academic and Social-Emotional Intelligence
Srim Academy will more than prepare your child to be Kindergarten-ready, making sure they learn all the educational requirements of Georgia's Pre-K programs.

We will teach mathematics, reading, writing, science, social studies, social-emotional learning and arts incorporated into our values-based curriculum, and we will encourage young children to stretch their creativity and challenge themselves academically. If children show passion for a particular subject, we will nurture that in smaller groups.

Our discipline philosophy at Srim Academy will be rooted in positive discipline. We will train our teachers to encourage positive behavior verbally and will have a token system where children can earn tokens when they exhibit good behaviors. The tokens can be traded in for small prizes or experiences once they accumulate. We will also help correct unwanted behaviors with firm and kind discussions and consequences related to the infraction that the kids agree upon (i.e., making a mess means the kids have to clean that up). Our philosophy will be based on positive encouragement as opposed to punishments. We will also encourage kids to consider how to solve problems and come to compromises. We will have many engaged discussions and games with the children that teach how to handle various big emotions that little ones feel (frustration, separation anxiety) in constructive ways.
